NewsReel 9/10/14 - Our Partnership with FRSC will Continue, Says Gov Orji

[ Masterweb Reports ] - Abia State Governor,  Chief Theodore Orji, has assured the new Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kumven Rindom, of his administration's partnership with the state command.

The Governor gave the assurance at the Government House, Umuahia, when he received in audience the new sector Commander, Rindom, who paid him a courtesy visit.

He charged him to be diligent in the discharge of his duties, assuring him that Abia is very friendly.

The Governor noted that the Federal Road Safety Corps in the state has been doing very well in its delegated duty and urged it to continue in that vein.

He promised that government will address the challenges of accommodation and vehicles confronting it and urged the staff of the corps; to support the new Sector Commander to excel.

Earlier, Rindom said his visit was to familiarize himself with the Governor and to congratulate him for his many legacy projects as well as his assistance to the commission in the past.

He however intimated the Governor with challenges facing the command in the state including accommodation for the sector Commander and shortage of operational vehicles as well as the non inclusion of the corps in the Security Council of the state and implored the Governor to intervene. He also pleaded with the Governor to assist them with their ember months safety campaign designed to prevent road accidents during the ember months.
