NewsReel 1/2/15 - PDP, President Jonathan Remain the Best Option for Ndigbo, Says Gov Orji

[ Masterweb Reports: Charles Ajunwa reports ] -  Abia State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji has reiterated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and President Goodluck Jonathan remain the best option for the Igbos and charged Ndigbo especially Abians to lend their weight behind the party in the February 2015 general elections.


Speaking during a PDP campaign rally at Central School Ubakala in Umuahia South LGA and Ndoro Central School in Ikwuano LGA, the Governor said President Jonathan has done a lot for Ndigbo and deserves a second term to complete his programmes.


He assured that whatever the President could not achieve in his first tenure he will accomplish when voted again.


Governor Orji used the forum to appeal to whoever he might have offended
unknowingly in the course of his duty to forget and vote for the party.


He described the PDP governorship candidate,Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu as an equity governor and assured that he will correct whatever mistakes he(Orji) may have made in government.


He stated that he has done some tangible things in Umuahia South and Ikwuano including construction of hospitals,roads and provision of other needed amenities and called on the people to vote for the PDP in view of his achievements.


Speaking at the event,Dr Ikpeazu promised to sustain and build on the legacies of Governor Orji as well as to put smiles on the faces of Abians.


The Governor who had earlier payed courtesy calls on the chairmen of Umuahia South and Ikwuano traditional Rulers councils at their palaces also met with development union executives while stakeholders from the areas assured the governor of their unflinching support to the party.
