BreakingNews 16/1/16 - Chief Charles Okereke, Masterweb Publisher Named Igbo Journalist of The Year

[ Masterweb Reports ] - Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), the youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo - apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, named Nigeria Masterweb publisher, Chief Charles Okereke Igbo journalist of the year after voting on many nominees for the award. According to a statement by OYC National Secretary, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the award would be conferred on Chief Okereke and other recipients in various categories on an elaborate award ceremony scheduled for Saturday, January 30 at Nike Lake Hotel, Enugu, Enugu State.
Others to be conferred awards during the ceremony are: Sun Newspaper - Igbo newspaper of the year; Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi (Minister of Transport) - Igbo man of the year; Deputy Senate President, Chief Senator Ike Ekweremadu - Outstanding Igbo politician of the year; Governor Willy Obiano -  Igbo Governor of the year; Senator Hope Uzodimma - Igbo legislator of the year; Chief Ifeanyi Ubah - Igbo entrepreneur of the year;  Leo Stan Ekeh - Igbo Scientist of the year; Prof Ben Nwabueze - Igbo Elder statesman of the year; Prof May Nwoye - Igbo Woman of the year; Dr Ogbonnaya Onu (Minister of Science and Technology) - Igbo Minister of the year;  Chief Maduka Onyishi - Igbo Transporter of the year; Chief Innocent Chukwuma - Igbo investor of the year and Chief Author Eze - Igbo philanthropist of the year.
OYC Worldwide Chairman, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro speaking to press in Umuahia, said finalists were selected after vigorous voting on nominees in the exercise.
Chief Charles Okereke is publisher of two famous online media - Nigeria Masterweb and Africa Masterweb, composer - God Bless Africa, African Union Award Winning Anthem and recipient of several national and international awards including American Association of University Women (AAUW) Leadership Award, Ambassador for Peace-Universal Peace Federation (UPF) and Award of Excellence-National Association of University Students of English and Literary Studies (NASELS), Universty of Uyo chapter.
