Breaking News15/4/16 - Eni to invest 20Billion Euros in Africa in 4 Years

[ Masterweb Reports ] - Italy’s Eni plans to invest about 20 billion euros ($22.52 billion) in Africa over the next fours years, mostly in oil and gas, the company’s Chief Executive Officer Claudio Descalzi said on Friday.


“In the next four years we are going to invest about 20 billion euros in Africa, about 60 percent of our investments,” Descalzi said at the International Energy Agency in Paris.


Eni S.p.A. is an Italian multinational oil and gas company headquartered in Rome. It has operations in 79 countries, and is currently world’s 11th largest industrial company with a market capitalization of 68 billion euros, as of August 14, 2013.
