BreakingNews 17/6/16 - Peter Obi blamed for Anambra senatorial re-run election impasse

[ Masterweb Reports: Ife Olori reports ] - The postponement of Anambra Central senatorial re-run election was blamed on Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra state, who was described as an intruder delaying the process.
Speaking to journalists in Onitsha the immediate past national chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the party’s candidate in the Anambra Central senatorial re-run election, Chief Victor Umeh, said:
"I will blame Mr. Peter Obi for procuring the court order that stalled the election. The reason is that he was not part of the election at all.
"The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, was right in excluding Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from the election because the Court of Appeal disqualified its candidate.
"There is no way Mr. Obi should have joined the Senatorial race in 2016, a race that started in 2014. ?All of us started the race in 2014, went through the processes of nomination, went to the election proper and the election was nullified.
"The law has been settled long ago by the Supreme Court that the only people that participated in the nullified election who are qualified, will proceed to the repeat election."
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) postponed the re-election that was?scheduled for Saturday, March 5, 2016,?following a court order obtained by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to include it in the re-run.
