BreakingNews 14/7/16 - Re: Restructure: Osinbajo is disappointment to South West -Afenifere

[ Masterweb Reports: C. K. Ekeke reports ] - Since former Pastor and Professor Yemi Osinbajo was picked up as Buhari’s running mate and now executive VP of Nigeria, I have been tracking his numerous statements about the state of affairs in Nigeria.  I must say that I’m highly disappointment as well.  This is a man who is highly educated, a former Attorney General of Lagos State and one of the highly respected pastors of the Redeemed Church of Nigeria.

What makes some men to change when they get into power and position of authority?  We hear that power corrupts and absolute absolutely corrupts, but a man of God, a righteous and servant of God should be able to speak the truth at all times.

Professor Osibanjo has made some many statements that are quite baffling - including the most recent one that “Niger Delta Avengers are economic warriors looking for their own pocket.”

Few months ago, APC leadership and entire northern jihadist establishment called the NDA – terrorists.  I have checked with various organizations monitoring terrorist organization around the world – NDA, IPOB, MASSOB, and other freedom fighters from SE/SS are not included.  Instead, Boko haram and Fulani herdsmen were listed as terrorist organizations.

When will we grow-up in Nigeria and live as sincere human-beings? What are we fighting for –crude oil wealth or something else.

In fact, I’m one of the few voices saying that in the event Nigeria divides, we must continue to share the oil wealth between south and north – but in equitable way.  We are not going to suddenly take the oil wells away from the north but will have to reorganize ownership and resource control more equitable.

Moreover, the north is much richer that the South.  There are huge deposits of solid minerals in the north, gold in Kaduna and probably, crude oil will be discovered in the north one day. Lagos and Ogun States are now oil producing States.

Nigeria is substantially rich nation but why are millions of people poor and suffering – with massive unemployment – nearly half of working population are unemployed, some estimate puts it at 70% unemployment and SE/SS are most hit; no drinkable water, no power supply, dilapidated and death-trapped road network, poor infrastructure, poorly equipped hospitals and security challenges – including massacres of defenseless citizens by DSS, Army, Police, Boko haram and Fulani herdsmen.

Yet, APC government – the President, VP, and their advisers open their mouth wide open to make all kinds of unfathomable statements and how well things are in Nigeria.  Recently, VP Osibanjo said that only very few people are suffering in Nigeria and just today, Mr. Femi Adeshina, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, said only minority people are suffering in Nigeria.

Whatever minority means!  Shame be upon these people.  May God have mercy upon these rulers without shame?
