BreakingNews 19/12/16: Germany donates equipment to Nigeria in it`s fight against Boko Haram

[ Masterweb Reports: Abdulwasiu Hassan reports ] - Germany has donated three surveillance equipment, 180 metal detectors and three mobile clinics to Nigeria to help in its fight against Boko Haram. Nigerian minister of Defence Mansur Dan-Ali, who stated this  Sunday while receiving his German counterpart, Ursula von der Leyen, at Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, said the items were donated under the 2012-2016 MoU signed by the two countries.

 

 He said a new MoU has been signed between the two countries which will see Nigeria receiving 3 million Euros worth of equipment and clinics.

 

 He called on other countries to come to the aid of Nigeria in its fight against terrorism.

 

Ursula von der Leyen, who presented the equipment said the package came with training of Nigerian personnel that would operate the equipment.
