BreakingNews 14/1/17 - Ohanaeze Ndigbo Elects National Exco

[ Masterweb Reports: Press Release For Immediate Release ] - History was made in Enugu, capital of Igboland on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 when the much expected national elections of Ohanaeze Ndigbo took place at the nationonal headquaters of the organization. Chuks Ibegbu, Chancellor of Igbo Information And Communication Network became the new National Assistant Publicity Secretary of the Organization among other newly elected officers.

The stillfy contested elections led to the emergence of the following officers to pilot the affairs of the body in the next four years.

Chief Okeagu Ogadah              National Assistant legal adviser
Chief Eric Ebeh                        National Assistant Treasurer

Chuks Ibegbu                               National Assistant Publicity Secretary
Charles Odunukwu                    National Vice President Anambra
Sylvester Ebigwei                       National Vice President Delta
Prof Chigozie Ogbu                      National Vice Chairman, Ebonyi

Chief Igoh Okparamma                 National Vice President, Rivers

They were sworn in immediately after the election and the official inauguration will take place before the end of January, 2017.

Meanwhile several Igbos within and outside Nigeria have been commending the quality of people elected to pilot the affairs of the apex Igbo body especially Barr Nnia Nwodo, Barrister Uche Okwukwu, Dr Sylvester Ebigwei, who have been veterans of the body for several years and expect the team to re-position Ndigbo in the days, weeks and years  ahead.
