BreakingNews 25/4/17 - Nnamdi Kanu rejects bail, says he will remain in prison in solidarity with co-accused

[ Masterweb Reports ] - One of the lawyers representing Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) today granted bail by an Abuja Federal High Court says his client would remain in prison in solidarity with other co-accused whose bail applications were rejected by the court. The lawyer spoke to press under anonymity.

 

Benjamin Madubugwu, Chidiebere Onwudiwe and David Nwawuisi were charged along with Kanu on matters bordering on treasonable felony, publication of defamatory matter, improper importation of a radio transmitter TRAM 50L and illegal possession of firearms.

Justice Binta Nyako today granted bail to Nnamdi Kanu in the sum of N100 million and three sureties in like sum.
