NewsReel 28/9/14 - Gov. Orji Commends Military for Fighting Insurgency in the North

[ Masterweb Reports ] - Abia State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji, has commended the military for the role they are playing in fighting insurgency in the Northern part of the country.

He was speaking when he received at the Government House, Umuahia,  the flag officer commanding,  Naval Training Command, Lagos, Rear Admiral Goody Anyakpele, who paid him an official visit.
He said that their effort in combating insecurity in the North is commendable, noting that military men have sacrificed their lives in the process.
The Governor said the government depends on the military and other security agencies for security now that election was around the corner and assured of his readiness to continue supporting the military.

Governor Orji said his government remains eternally grateful to the military for helping it nip kidnapping in the bud and help restore security in the state.
In his remarks, Rear Admiral Anyakpele who said he was on inspection visit of Naval schools under his command to assess facilities thanked the Governor for supporting security personnel in the state to discharge their duties effectively.
He thanked him for the vehicles he has given to the Navy school of finance and logistics Owerrinta and the accommodation he provided and urged the governor to do more.

Anyakpele who maintained that there will be no progress without security assured that the military will continue to provide the enabling environment for fair and peaceful election in the country.
