Gov. Peter Obi has refuted the rumour making rounds about the rumored death the Igbo Leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu. He spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Mike Udah, following innumerable calls and enquires he received from different quarters. The full text of his speech made available to the press reads:
“Gov. Peter Obi has been inundated with calls from many quarters, both within and outside the country on the state of health of Igbo Leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu. The intermittent heightening of tension that has attended his hospitalization shows how dearly Nigerians and the world hold him. ( Continues below….. )

The Governor observes that Dim Ojukwu has continued to attract the attention of the world because of his outstanding his leadership role and assured place in national history, adding that it also shows that his popularity is real.
Gov. Obi thanks all who have continued to show concern about Ojukwu’s ill-health and requests them to continue to pray for his full recovery, re-assuring all Nigerian and foreign admirers of Ojukwu that he is still very much around with us. He appeals to death-mongers to show a little discretion, especially on issues that are clearly open to confirmation.”

I hv talk to god about Ojukwus health so anyone that is whinging him death will first of all die before him,he most be alive until god comes. be good my great hero. 
Gen Emeka Ojukwu (dim) is destined to live 120yrs on earth,why is it that some idiotic elements are wishing him dead at this tender age?Be careful rumour mongers!Our ikemba is very much alive and must fulfill his remaining missions in Nigeria and beyond.Dikedioramma 1 of igbo land we are behind you and u must live for us. 
The news is allover the world but let nobody panic as our Almighty God is in control of his life.Dim C.O O is highly needed now in igboland,so he's going nowhere.

Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (A.K.A Ikemba) will continue to live longer inspite of the rumour mongers who went around to spread fals information concerning his health condition. I therefore pray to almight God for his quick recovery. 
I love Ikemba Odumegwu Ojukwu. may God give him more strength and more years. We Nigerians still need & love him. If only we have more men that is true with their emotions, like Ikemba, Murtala, Abacha and Nnamdi.Nigeria will be a Home for the whole world. 
Ojukwu lives on-Ofu onye ana asi nnonuu-You are one of a kind,May those who wish you dead die before you. 
Oh the great man of our Land. you shall not die but live! 
His excellency, a visionary leader of our genertion, may God grant you speedy recovery. 
People should not forget that those that rumoured about GREAT ZIK death, died before him.GREAT ODIMEGWU possess the same kind of spirit with ZIK be warned.

It's not easy to become a hero like Chief Ojukwu. I respect his personality and intergrity. I'm proud to be an Igbo man and a Nigerian. I don't mind rumour mongers and their evil wishes. I pray for recovery of Chief Ikemba Ojukwu-a Hero.
