Iloagusi Colleens Chidubem, a Nigerian resident in India, was on Wednesday arrested by Indian police for assault at the Nigerian embassy in New Delhi. Chidubem allegedly hit Mohammed Hussain, a senior official at the embassy with a stone on the head. An Indian police officer speaking to the press said: "We received a complaint from the Nigerian high commission and have registered a case. We are investigating the matter."
According to the First Information Report (FIR), Mohammad Hussain was on Tuesday, October 11 informed by security at the embassy that someone wanted to see the High Commissioner. Hussain stepped out to meet the visitor who identified himself as Iloagusi Colleens Chidubem, but was forced to call the police after Chidubem became aggressive. According to Hussain in the FIR, the embassy offered the accused Rs 500 ($10.20) after he said he had not eaten anything all day long and told him to go home. The embassy called the police after Chidubem refused to leave the embassy according to Hussain's statement. The police forced Chidubem to leave the embassy. ( Continues below..... )

Chidubem came back the following day, October 12 and again demanded to see the High Commissioner and a scuffle broke out between him and the security guards. According to Hussain in the FIR, he spoke to Chidubem over the phone but could not understand him as he spoke Igbo (a local dialect in Nigeria). That prompted Hussain to come out to meet the accused who hit him on the head with a stone. The guards overpowered and detained him until police arrived to arrest him.

It is called the First Information Report because it is a report of information that reaches the police first in point of time of the commission of a cognizable offence. It is a complaint lodged with the police orally, in writing or by phone by victims of cognizable offences, or by someone representing them.

poor guy, may be he was hungry. nigerians are sufferring every where. 
These so-called Ambassadors keep playing gods each time proving why blackman is the least respected in the world. Having come again the second day, they ought to have known that the poor guy had a problem that could only be shared with the Ambassador but not with the rank-and-files like "Hussein". The former USA secretary of state, Garry Locke was with me in MacDonald's Restaurant in Beijing the first he came to report as the US Ambassador to China. He was in the same line with me queuing for snacks even when some Chinese ladies offered to buy for him. He didn't play god! The Ambassador apart from being uncivilized, played ethnic chauvinism. 
Chindubem should have excercised restraint. However, he must have acted that way because of frustration. The Nigeria mission in India are known for their egoism and indifference to residents there. This report lacks substance as the accused version of the incident was not published. What led to Chindubem attacking Hussain? Why does the accuse kept frequenting the mission if his problem was resolved? It is evident that Chindubem was humiliated and to save his bruised ego, he had dared inflicted injury on his adversary,breaching the consequence. Most Nigeria officials wants the use of force before they are compelled to resolve issues. Chindubem gave the official what he requested for. 
But what do expect?the embassy worker to listen to him or sheer his feelings or talks with him?no way!Most of our problems originates from us because wetin dey smell for goat body dey inside im body.Embassies are examplaries of how the countries are.Take for an example with what is happening with our embassy in Italy.You cannot get them on phone and you cannot reach them even when you are finally at the embassy.You must go through a tout otherwise no one sees or hears you.All nigerian embassy staffers all over the world needs to be changed. 
What is the use of having an embassy when it does not serve the interest of it's diaspora citizens? Most Nigerian diplomats are known for their insensitivity to the plights of the citizens they represent. Will purging the embassies be the solution? I don't know. You tell me!

But the ambassador suppose to hear from him he represnt nigerians there it is nigeria money if he see that the guy is not doing any thing he suppose to pay the flght ticket and bring the guy home what do you people want him to do let nigerians knows how to take care of nigferians outside that is their duty not only to coolect money and put in their purse 
If Chidubem were a Nigerian from the Arab/ Hausa/ Fulani tribe who would have treated him like this?It is obvious that the poor guy was humiliated and frustrated to the point of provocation!
To confirm the way the ambassador and embassy staff regard Nigerians like him , Chidubem was not only humiliated and manhandled but he was handed over to the Indian police , by the same ambassador and embassy staff who were supposed to be his confidants and protectors in a foreign land!
This is the same attitude towards Nigerians in diaspora; which is the stock in trade attitude of majority of Nigeria embassy staff, overseas.
What is $10.20 for a person who says he has not eaten for a day long, it means you add to his problem instead of linking him to a job he can manage to sustain him for a while 
They are seating in Embassy doing noting there,if a Nigerian National need they are help this stupid diplomats they cannot help Nigerian at all,one thing i no 4 sure one day a Nigerian will kill DIPLOMAT,because they are bad people,they are not working 4 Nigerian they working with India police 2 put Nigerian citizen in JAIL,in India Jail more then three thousand Nigerian they in Jail in New Delhi. 
I don't blame them, maybe the guy is poor and he couldn't give them what the want. These so-called Nigerian Ambassadors what the care about is collecting money from people in the name of helping then,no that is not help and the are the one spoiling Nigerians names, the should be ashamed of their self because they're Nigerians too. Imagine a Nigeria locking heirs brother.
