*Nigeria: Peter Obi In Trouble - Two Groups After Him

[ News Roundup ]

TROUBLE ONE:

In the middle of this year, the opposers of Peter Obi were very happy because his popularity waned. Now with all he is doing, his popularity is rising rapidly. The opposition are not happy.

His problem is compounded by his refusal to support the Governorship of the owner of Capital Oil, Ifeanyi Uba, who has already hired the building used by Soludo as his campaign office owned by Chief Austin Ndigwe, Ozo Gidigbam Gidigbam as his campaign office.

It is believed that the group had reached to the Governor, Victor Umeh, Ojukwu’s wife to help make Ifenayi governor, but did not get firm assurances as they expected.

On Wednesday, the anchor man of Capital Oil, Austine Ndigwe, arranged for Anambra’s Speaker, Chinwe Nwebili; the deputy Speaker, Orizu, Emeka Idu and the one called AFRICA. With Capital Oil’s plane, they flew them to Lagos where they met with Ifeanyi Uba. The money given to them:

Speaker: 200,000 Dollars

Deputy: Speaker 180,000 Dollars

Idu: 150,000 Dollars

Africa: 150,000 Dollars

They were charged to recruit at 40,000 dollars each any House member that can join their group. After that and seeing how happy they were, Uba flew back to Lagos with them and slept with the Speaker.

Uzu Awka believing that the deal is done, is now going all over town boasting that they are now in charge. The man who talks any how is even boasting that having made love to the speaker that everything is alright.

Obi may be working in Anambra State, he may be saving money for the future of the State, he may be doing what others shied away from, but why is everybody around him, including his wife and the one they call his foolish thoughtless man Friday, Val Obiyem complaining about this? Does it mean that even Obiyem who works for him as if he has no mind of his own not paid handsomely?

The major grouse of politicians is that the man always say that the State has no money and yet in less than two weeks, he released 6 billion naira to the Churches to rehabiliate schools he handed over to them and another 3 billion naira to rehabilitate their health institutions.

What is painful, one politician saying the minds of others, is that these Churches will not give contracts to them as they already have their own contractors.

TROUBLE TWO:

Since Obi appears not to show interest on who succeds him, some of those working for him who see themselves as anointing ones are not happy, especially Deputy Governor and Dubem Obaze

The more visible group for now is Deputy Governor whose anchor man is one One Ojoto, Okigbo.

Onwa has confided on some people that Gov Obi will not be in charge at the time of election, when he was reminded that the APGA House may not impeach him for whatever reason, he said there are other ways to remove a Governor. Folks, what other ways do you know?

chigozieI don't think that the real good people of Anambra State would allow themselves to be used to hand over the governance of the state to mr. Ifeanyi Uba. My reason is this, Anambra State needs a total oriented administrator to handle their affairs, and mr. Peter Obi is one while mr. Ifeanyi Uba is not. So without sentiment and partisan interest, mr. Peter Obi and other good people of Anambrians that has the interest of Anambra State in their heart can vote for the person that can continue from where mr. Peter Obi would eventually stop.

EjeWhat should be the intention of any candidate who shared such amount of money to win Governorship election? If Mr. Uba wants to rule his people he should come clean and prove to his people his action plan, rather than scaring them. I hope such mentioned amount of money was not real.

ArinzeMy question is who is Mr Ifeanyi Ubah to pilot the affairs of Anambra state, when highly educated and people of intigrity abound, if the good people of Anambra state the technocrats and the well educated people of the state should allow Mr Ubah to constitute nuisance again after one Mr C Ubah saga then that will show the level of mediocrity in the state. Please enough of this mess, Mr Uba or whatever should discard the idea altogether because Anambra state needs technocrats for milenium developements. I rest my pen.

Barr. Mbakwethe Governorship seat of my Anambra state is not for sale. I can assure you of that. it may have happened in the past but not any longer. I know not a few members of the House of Assembly in question and I will be surpised if few dollars can change age-long belief which has being bled for! I sm very relunctant to believe this story but for Mr. Uba, I RECOMMEND THAT HE SHOULD PROVE HIMSELF FIRST. T o be a bit blunt, Public service is quite different from private enterprise and I doubt the kind of success that Capital OIL has become. Success, with very due respect, is not measured on the number of newspaper advertorials that carries your picture! Anambra will arise and the time is soon!!!

daniel - usaif it ain't broken, don't fix it americans say. the very on the job, effective, progressive, adirable governor of anambra state has done everything right. even the poors have started to feel not poor again in anambra state. why change him? it ain't broken, what is anybody else trying to fix?

first of all the small boy billionaire extraordinary called ifeanyi uba, just told the world that he paid $200,000 to the speaker chinwe nwebili to have sex with her. the dictionary defines that as prositution. so the present governor must remove the speaker for being a prostitute and still in office.

yes, this guy ifeanyi uba is stupendiously wealthy and no one can deny the kind of power money installs on who ever that has it. i realize that such powerful striking force can reach across the world, but can your intellectuality equal to the size of power your money gave you? even if peter obi is not running again, he has done so many good things for the poor and public of anambra state. what has ifeanyi done for the poor of anambra citizenry? look at how he is quoting dollars, and nigeria, does not even trade on dollars. if the nigeria governance is not this corrupt, is that not a treasonous offence?

sir, Peter O., the governor emeritus, even if this boy genuis eclipse you today, which i am sure will never happen, keep on helping the poor, and the citizens of anambra, think, if God sent you here to help the poor like you are doing, you will not say no. and that is why you are the most effective governor. as you know, evil doers don't like that. all these dollars being thrown around is not only idiotic, but they can't hurt you. march on my lion of judah, the deliverer of the poor and citizens, you are the only governor we know. thou shall not be afraid God is telling you that now. no evil must come upon you, i am with you the Lord said.

Comment from: chike nwankwo [Visitor]
chike nwankwothis is a dangerous signal that anambra is about going back to the hands of people who see politics as business. mr ifeanyi uba, not known for anything than being an opulent businessman, has never held a public opinion on any issue concerning anambra state nor advised on any crisis the state has gone through.the only credential he is flaunting is his wealth because he does not seem to know that anambra has gone beyond that.we need a sincere technocrat, and they are in abundance in anambra state, to lead us.
