The Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited (SAHCOL) has started the construction of an ultra-modern 9,000 square meters Custom Bonded Cargo Warehouse, at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Cargo Complex. The 9000 square meters cargo warehouse is designed and fabricated by Remco Romania, a division of the Remco Group of companies, with its headquarters in the Netherlands, a group which is specialized in designing, building and delivering industrial halls based on innovative steel construction concept.
The custom Bonded warehouse, which is expected to be first of its kind in the West African Sub Region, will include among others, a Cold Room, Strong Room, Racks, Office block of two (2) floors (covering a total space of 800 square meters per floor) and a loading bay with four (4) loading gates. In addition, the warehouse’s designs has an aluminium coated finish floor on top of concrete floor, which provides additional strength, more friction for rolling equipments and eliminates the possibility of dust emission. The construction of the warehouse which is expected to be completed within Nine (9) months, is being handled by Mazin Engineering, a Zen Group Subsidiary, which specializes in steel fabrication, complementing with Civil Construction, thereby enabling them to deliver complete projects of Steel Structures, coupled with Civil Engineering.
The new face of SAHCOL is witnessing massive deployment of Modern State-of-the-art Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Training/Retraining of all categories of staff, Infrastructural development, Management Repositioning, Employment of new staff/skills, re-fleeting of Company Vehicles, Boosting Customer confidence/patronage, among others. SAHCOL is constructing ULTRA modern warehouse. Soon, this ultra mordern warehouse will be certified completed, and payment made in full. This said ULTRA modern warehouse would not be ultra modern as discribed in this caption. No oversight in anything project that Nigeria embarked upon, hence it has a beginning, but no end. The Gov of Edo state raised issue of a road contract issued by the FED, and certified completed. The same road was shown to journalist for verification, to whom was lied the Governor or the Federal commissioner? The journalist reported that the certified, completed graded road as reported by the commissioner was a sham. Contract awarded, but the work on the said road remains in limbo. Money shared by the untouchables, and the nation watch in silence. No contract is excuted to completion, and when it is complete, the foundation is shaky. Is this building a stronger Nigeria, where ghostly contract is the norm? Please stop publishing these reports of fake contracts, except you will also certify completing. All the dilapidated roads in Nigeria has contracts awarded on them, but will never be done, the money goes to pay campaign promises.
