By now we should be talking about one indivisible, consolidated and well focused Ohaneze Ndi Igbo. The matter that now so glaringly threatens the very existence of the Igbo nation needs to be addressed urgently. For instance, Igbo language needs to be alive. A whole lot of welfare issues for Ndi Igbo is staring us in the face. We do not want any distractions now, please.

Re-Achebe: Big for Nothing Igbo’s in Diaspora
The Igbo land is full of educated derelicts, whereas in making of many books there shall be no end. One should be asking:-What kind of tribe are this Igbo’s of Nigeria? What exactly are they made of? Who are they? So many questions like that. Many of we Igbo did not witness the Biafra civil war and many of us did not fight the war.
My late father fought the war and told me the entire story and how it ended. In my school days I red about some books wrote by Achebe. To me such impression by Achebe, compared to what my father told me was the only truth. Because Achebe kept records, many wonders why Achebe withheld the publication of this very book till this his striking age. Yes he has been looking to hear, even to read from who among the real Igbo’s can come up with a thing like that or similar to his records. Yet non among them ever did that .To him, I and many other Igbo’s.
The death of Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu the Ikemba 1 seems that a great hope is lost. Achebe knew the sufferings of Igbo indigenes and imagining his age, he wrote with tear to alert the dangers of this selfish self imposed arrogance and negligence among the enslaved Igbo’s all over the world and to unite them together for unity,peace,progress, and freedom of the Igbo’s. Ever since I was born here in Nigeria as Igbo man, this is my 39yrs of suffering in this country Nigeria. In my sufferings, I witness truly that we Igbo’s are enslaved to the Nigerian government and all our rights as citizen are denied of us. How long shall the wicked triumph? All the Igbo’s in Diaspora even till today are big for nothing Igbo’s. Anybody is free to tell Achebe anything he like but be rest assured that in due time Igbo’s must regain freedom. No matter where you are as long as you are an Igbo man, for sure you must succeed. Who else can deliver us when all of us fear to die? Many of you in Diaspora think staying there is the best solution for your life but is a big lie.
Nigerian government doesn’t really know how tourism helps in developing a nation. Up till now, there is only one bridge to the Eastern states of Nigeria. Each government comes and award contracts of another second Niger bridge and go, yet nothing is done. Up till now Igbo’s especially those in Diaspora will not reason that one day terrorist like Boko Haram of this day may decide to change name and attack the only gate way to the Igbo’s. Where do I stop? All in the name of politics, Igbo politicians betray fellow Igbo man just for the sake of money and power. Check records of all the killing across the Nigerian states; you will see that Igbo’s are mostly killed. Nigerian government now capitalize on this stories and say; that Igbo’s are not united , Igbo’s are minority, Igbo’s are for buy and sell , they are not in peace, the are not educated, no Igbo presidency come 2015 and so on. Since I was born the former president Olusegun Obasanjo regime has been in power till now. The Igbo’s should note that it was this same Obasanjo that led the Nigerian army troops across River Niger to capture the Biafra war lords and killing of many Igbo’s both man and woman and children.
If you say the truth, they will kill you. I am writing from an experience that even if I die I will not be afraid of them that only kill the flesh but of him who after killing the flesh has power to destroy the soul which is God. Igbo’s both home and abroad should rise on our feet and give this Nigerian government a big challenge whatsoever that another second bridge should be completed within a very shot time or allow us to construct another second bridge for ourselves and bring tourism to the grassroots of all the eastern states of Nigeria.
Are we still the Igbo’s of this age? Why are we still scattered everywhere like sheep without shepherd? Why are we the majority and still suffer like minority? Why all this threat imposed in us? What is the materialization of our inventive genius as Igbo? Is it not time to act for ourselves for a true federalism? We are equal to the task. Biafra is not a religion as people view it, rather a doctrine of peace and progress among the people. I don’t aim my write up to division of this country but that Igbo’s should understand that they are up to being a nation and must work towards it. Fellow Igbo’s and Nigerians as well should please embrace this call as I envisaged that come 2015 an Igbo man must be a president of this Country Nigeria or allow us to rule ourselves whether we are united or not. Enough is enough.
