Mr. Nwobu, what a beautifully written and factually loaded article you have prompted us! I cannot agree more to your narrative of the injection of tribalism into a coup that had an overriding intention: the purging of the nation of corruption.

In response to: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Theory of Masturbation, Alcoholism and Smoking

paul Karue [Visitor]
I support Pastor Chris 100% because what he talked about alcohol, masturbation and cigarette smoking are according to the scripture. The bible prohibits drunkenness, not drinking alcohol(verse: Ephesians 5:18), rather you can drink a little 1 Tim 5:23, 1 Tim 3:8,Ezek 44:21,Titus 1:7, Mathew 15:17). These verses tell you that alcohol is not sin, but drunkenness. Why is drunkenness prohibited? the answer is in Ephesians 5:18, 1 peter 5:8, Ephesians 6:10). Masturbation is not Sin but it is caused by sin. When you look at a a person of the opposite sex lustfully, you have sinned. looking lustfully(Sin) may lead to masturbation. The bible does not talk about cigarette anywhere or tobacco or coffee or tea, rather everything God created is good, eat it with thanks giving. Anything that causes addiction is due to a demon, and not the substance itself.Alcohol causes addiction, drug addiction, then football addiction. Do we say that watching football is a sin because one can be addicted? Pastor Chris is not using human judgment but the scripture as it is. The bible prohibits us from following traditions. Follow the scripture; Eat pig because the bible allows it.

well, it is a monumental shame that at this point, we are still talking about the issue of corruption, and non of the people involved has been prosecuted and jailed for the is a funny nation. if i may suggest, any politician found guilty of miss use or diversion of public fund for his or her own private gains, should be prosecuted and jailed minimum of 10yrs and maximum of 16yrs, thus the individual will never be allowed to contest for any public position in Nigeria henceforth. This will serve as deterrent to other looters at the helm of affairs in our society. Nigeria is a begging nation, cos looters has left our national treasury very empty. tanx

@Adamu Mohammed, l really don't think you understood the article. Go back and read it again and again to fully comprehend what the writer was trying to convey. My opinion? Illiteracy, tribalism and religion that is foreign to us and also throw in corruption are the bane of our problems. Nigeria needs another Major Kaduna Nzeogwu to clean up all the mess.
